Install CaterCom as an app
Steps for Mac · Chrome or Edge (chosen).
- Open this site in Chrome or Edge and sign in.
- Chrome: ⋮ menu › Cast, save and share › Install page as app… Edge: ⋯ menu › More tools › Apps › Install this site as an app.
- Choose Install. CaterCom appears in Launchpad; right-click its Dock icon and choose Options › Keep in Dock.
On macOS Sonoma or newer you can use Safari's Add to Dock instead.
Set up this store's collector
The collector is a separate program on one store computer (a Mac or a Windows PC). It reads orders from CMT and sends them to Catering Command. You only need it once per store, and only on that computer; using CaterCom does not need it.
- It is connected with a one-time pairing code from the store setup checklist. Nothing is installed or turned on from this page.
- Customer text messages go through Apple Messages, which needs a supported Mac signed in to the store's catering phone. A Windows PC can collect orders but cannot send Apple Messages.
- A downloadable collector installer is not published yet. The pilot administrator installs the approved package on the store computer.
Only a Director or Manager can pair a store computer. Sign in as a Director or Manager to set up the collector.
